The Headland Cottage is an exciting two bedroom retreat perched on the southern bluffs of Eastport, Maine. It features spectacular panoramic views of Campobello Island, Lubec and Eastport harbor. Standing on the deck of this cottage and enjoying the elevated perspective imparts to visitors a sense of being on the edge of one of the wonders of the world.

From the deck you can see Franklin Roosevelt's historic summer home on Campobello, as well as views of a myriad of boats plying the ocean waters. On the shoreline below the cottage there is 1500 feet of private beach to walk on, and guests are also welcome to explore eight acres of headlands to pick blueberries and other pursuits.

The master bedroom has a wonderful ocean view and comes with a queen size bed, while the guest room has a double bed and available rollaway.

The kitchen and dinning areas have terrific water views along with beautifully hand-carved seascape cupboards and window trims. The cozy living room features a gas log fireplace for evenings when the sea breeze comes off the water.

The entire cottage interior has a nautical decor which blends well with the ocean backdrop as well as the village's rich maritime history. The waterside deck comes with gas grill and comfortable outdoor furniture. The cottage also features high speed Internet access.

This cottage is situated in one of the most exciting and rejuvenated vacation destinations along the Maine coast. Eastport's delightful and close knit friendly eclectic mix of people are a joy to experience. The cottage is also close to several state parks including Cobscook Bay, Shackford Head, Gleason's Point, as well as Moosehorn National Wildlife Refuge, where wonderful opportunities for hiking, biking, and bird watching await.

The Canadian province of New Brunswick is only 25 miles away by car, where you can visit the historic Loyalist town of St. Andrews by the sea, or perhaps check out the Chocolate Museum in St. Stephen. There is also ferry service from Eastport, which serves Deer Island, New Brunswick, from whence other short ferry hops can take you to either mainland New Brunswick or to Campobello Island, where visitors tour the Franklin D. Roosevelt International Park. The two masted schooner, Sylvina Beal, leaves her berth at the Eastport waterfront and takes guests on scenic sunset cruises and whales watching excursions around the bays.

The Sea Smoke Cottage, located on Ray’s Point in Milbridge, Maine is a delightful cozy 2 bedroom, 1½ bath getaway, highlighted by its close ocean waters, wonderful views and open floor plan.

This bayside rental is the perfect size and location for a small family or for couples wanting to get away from it all. Sea Smoke takes in the day’s first rays of sun that warms its oceanside patio and glassed in waterside living room. Folks here will find either area relaxing morning spots where they will gladly kick back with a cup of "joe" and bask in the sun’s warmth. Guests will find this very affordable vacation rental comfortable and restful.

Located all on one level, the interior of this cottage is decorated with a country contemporary flair, centered around its terrific water views and open concept great room and kitchen.

Its master bedroom boasts a comfy queen size bed, reading lights, large closet and attached half bath. The guest room features two twin beds, closet and reading light. The cottage has a full center bath, with tub & shower, and is completed with is great-room that includes a dining area for four, living room and satellite TV with DVD player, Internet and kitchen with everything an accomplished cook would need. The Sea Smoke Cottage is located in the middle of Maine’s beautiful Downeast coastline, so vacationers have many directions to choose from when planning the day’s excursions to take advantage of the area’s plentiful sights, activities and cultural events.

In the immediate area of the cottage we recommend hiking and exploring the beautiful oceanside McClellan Park in Milbridge or traveling a few miles to the west for hiking and bird watching at Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge, located in Steuben. The coastal hiking trails at the refuge are spectacular and the seabirds commonly seen there are a wonder to watch.

For the inland wanderer, look no farther than traveling north, outside of the village of Cherryfield off Route 182, and hiking the wonderful trails up Catherine’s and Tunk Mountains, located on Maine’s Bureau of Public Lands Downeast Unit. In the same BPL Unit we highly recommend canoeists and kayakers launch at Spring River and Tunk Lakes and paddle to the many white sandy beaches these two waters have to offer to enjoy picnicking and swimming.

For the trout, salmon and bass fisherman, this same BPL Unit offers numerous lakes and ponds for very successful outings. The angler in the group will revel in the chance to fish for brown trout at Long Pond and Spring River Lake, landlocked salmon at Tunk Lake and smallmouth bass at Long and Round Ponds.

For the more adventurous angler or fly fisherman, hiking into the Unit’s remote waters and catching brook trout at Rainbow Pond, Tilden Pond, Little Long Pond and Anderson Pond, would be incredible. All of these fishing opportunities await the ready angler off Route 182, located just north of Milbridge.

For the more passive vacationer, the Milbridge area offers quaint fishing villages with delectable restaurants, small shops, antique stores, boat tours and an outdoor theatre/stage. What ever your interest, this terrific area will not disappoint vacationers looking for the real Maine experience.

The cottage is 1½ hours east of Bangor and the Bangor International Airport. 3½ hours northeast of Portland, 5 hours from Boston and 10 hours from New York City. The house is also 1 hour from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The house is 1½ hours from Eastport and 1 hour from Lubec and Campobello Island.

The Sea Biscuit House is located in the quiet ocean hamlet of Kennebec Bay in Roque Bluffs, Maine.

This modern but classic ocean beach house is very private with a commanding sea view and a picturesque walkable shorefront which stretches for miles. The house features DSL high speed Internet access and satellite TV.

This 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home accommodates 5 guests and boasts a large water view master bedroom with queen size bed and attached master bath. One of its two guest bedrooms features a queen size bed and the other offers a twin bed that is perfect for a young person.

Two of the dreamy centerpieces of the Sea Biscuit House are its cathedral ocean view living room with gas log fireplace and its spacious seaside wrap-around deck with comfortable furniture and gas grill.

Renters will also enjoy Sea Biscuit’s fully equipped kitchen with cookware, gas stove with convection oven, large refrigerator and freezer, microwave, dishwasher and breakfast bar.

The house comes with two sitting areas that are terrific quiet reading spaces or computer work areas for either the recreational web surfer or the vacationer needing to get work done over the Internet.

The house has its own look-out point where guests can sit over the ocean, take in a sunrise, watch lobstermen bring in the day’s catch, launch a kayak or just enjoy the sounds of the sea.

The house comes equipped with washer, dryer, dishwasher, satellite TV, DSL high speed Internet access, phone, gas grill, deck furniture, place settings, cookware, utensils and all linens.

Area activities include: hiking, swimming and fishing at nearby Roque Bluffs State Park, hiking the Boldcoast and Western Head trails in Cutler and the Great Wass Island trails on the Nature Conservancy land outside of the village of Beals.

A very popular trip is to take a cruise out to see the Atlantic Puffins at Machias Seal Island with Captain Andy Patterson out of Cutler Harbor. Another must do is sea kayaking to view the ocean landscapes and wildlife with guide Robbie Scribner from Sunrise County Canoe and Kayak in Machias. Our guests also enjoy taking bay cruises with Captain Barbara Fish out of Jonesport to tour the Jonesport Archipelago. Many vacationers also take whale watching and schooner trips or deep sea fishing excursions with Captain Butch Harris out of Eastport.

Renters enjoy exploring West Quoody and East Quoody Head Lighthouses in Lubec and Campobello as well as touring the Roosevelt House on Campobello where former President Franklin Roosevelt spent summers.

Canoeing the Downeast rivers is great fun on legendary waters such as the Machias, East Machias, Denny’s and Pleasant rivers. Paddling these rivers shows off our spectacular inland scenery and wildlife. Our guests also enjoy fishing the many lakes and ponds such as Cathance, Gardner’s, Rocky, Mark’s, Six Mile, Bog, Long, Schoodic, Tunk and Spring River Lakes for salmon, trout and bass.

A big hit in the area is dining at area restaurants or picking out your own lobsters at lobster pounds such as Look’s in Jonesport, B&B Lobster in Bucks Harbor and Little River Lobster in Cutler. Shopping at little antique and gift stores in the small villages like Machias, Jonesport, Lubec, Cutler, Milbridge and Eastport are also part of our many vacationer’s itineraries.

Guests will enjoy visiting the Burnham Tavern in Machias, where the first battle of the Revolutionary was planned, and viewing the Indian petrogyphs pecked into the ocean shale stone centuries ago by shamans along Machias Bay. These and many other sights and sounds await you along this portion of rural and scenic Maine coastline.

Rental fees cover rent plus an exit cleaning. Additional fees include Maine State lodging tax and a separate refundable damage deposit.

The Cape Split peninsula, harbor and tiny fishing village are tucked away gems in an area of coastal Maine that we highly recommend experiencing. Strolling the beaches, quiet cape walks along scenic lanes, carefree bike rides, sea kayaking forays, friendly people and affordable lobsters from the village highlight this vacation destination.

The light streams into the westerly seaward facing side of the Cape Split Cottage through its large ocean view windows. The light is particularly comforting as the afternoon turns into evening and a golden glow settles within the great-room from grand sunsets.

This cozy two bedroom cottage offers a private master bedroom with queen size bed, and guest room with both double and twin beds. The cottage has 1½ baths and its great room features an open kitchen and ocean view dining area and living room. It has an ocean-side grilling and sitting deck and nice access to its beachfront. The cottage also provides satellite TV with DVD, high speed Internet access, radio/CD player, all linens, cook-ware, place settings, utensils, washer, dryer and gas grill.

Within 30 minutes of the cottage are coastal hikes at Great Wass Island and at McClellan Park in Milbridge. Also, inland mountain hikes at Catherine’s and Tunk Mountains in Township 10.

Fine dining restaurants in Machias and terrific seafood at eateries in Jonesport and Milbridge also allow guests to experience the local color. Good fishing abounds in the lakes around the Machias and Cherryfield areas, or you can fish for trout in one of the nearby streams. Antique shops dot the many area coastal villages and Machias has a number of interesting shops for guests to explore.

A little further away in Cutler, Hearts of Maine recommends the coastal sightseeing and Atlantic Puffin tours aboard the Barbara Frost with Captain Andy Patterson. We also highly recommend the whale watching and schooner cruises with Captain Butch Harris on the Sylvina Beal out of Eastport. Whatever your interest in a rural setting, we think vacationers will enjoy the laid-back atmosphere which this part of Downeast Maine provides.

The cottage sits 100 feet from the water's edge and has a terrific panoramic view of the bay from it's front porch and living room. Visitors have access to the seashore via a short set of stairs located in front of the cottage.

Guests will enjoy the warmth of wonderful sunrises and fireside dinners. Families and couples can day trip an hour to Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, or Campobello Island.

Guests can also enjoy sightseeing and the crashing surf at Schoodic Point, just 25 minutes away, or go hiking at the new trails on nearby Schoodic, Black, Caribou, and Catherine's Mountains. In and around these hiking areas visitors can swim, fish, kayak, and canoe on waters such as Long and Donnell Ponds, Tunk, Spring River, and Narraguagus Lakes.

This quaint 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom cottage is situated on scenic Kent Cove in Wohoa Bay and can accommodate up to 6 guests. The Sea Haven Cottage was completed in 2016 and is ready for guests to enjoy.

The open, airy design adds to the relaxing atmosphere. Situated at the very end of a road, Sea Haven allows you to truly relax and rejuvenate. This house combines simplicity and elegance under one roof.

The main level houses the open kitchen, dining area and living room with a wonderful deck that is accessed directly from this space. Windows across the front of the house let in the sunlight and also offer a great vantage point for looking out at the water.
Also located on the main level is the master bedroom and full bathroom. The guest bedroom is a second floor loft area with 4 twin beds and is open to the living room and kitchen. It’s a wonderful spot for the children or grandchildren to call their own.

Sea Haven sits back from the shore by approximately 100 feet. Access to the beach and water is via a path that runs in front of the house. Once on the shore, launch your kayak and explore the Downeast shoreline. Spend a few hours seeing the storied Maine coast from a very unique vantage point. It’s an adventure that is waiting just for you.

If hiking is more your style, walk the Ingersoll trail which is just a short drive away in the village of South Addison. Or spend a few more minutes in the car and explore the Great Wass Island Preserve on Beals Island or the Petit Manan Wildlife Preserve in Steuben. There are many beautiful hikes to enjoy in Downeast Maine and the Sea Haven Cottage provides a wonderful home base for your adventures.

Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor are certainly the biggest attraction to this neck of Maine. The Schoodic Peninsula is just 45 minutes away and Bar Harbor is a journey of 1.5 hours. Both areas are a must see while you are here. Spend time on the scenic rocky coastline, explore quaint fishing villages, take a boat tour to visit the puffins or see how lobster is caught, tour a local winery and sample their wares or enjoy some of Maine’s delicacies at some of the local eateries. Everything is within reach here.

Sea Haven Cottage offers the simpler side of vacationing in Maine. If you need to stay connected to folks at home or do some work while away, WiFi is provided at this property. Otherwise, bring your favorite book and curl up and enjoy your down time. Play a board game or put together a puzzle to pass the evening away. Sit on the deck as the sun goes down and watch the stars come out. There are so many of life’s simple pleasures to be enjoyed.

From this cottage guests can kayak or canoe and enjoy the calm bay waters. Aspen Cove is only 4 miles from the quaint village of Milbridge, where there are several restaurants, a grocery store, seafood market, bank, ATM, service station, library and small movie theater.

Also close by are many inland lakes for fishing and swimming such as Tunk Lake, Spring River Lake, and Long Pond, all of which have beaches which get used infrequently. The cottage is also close to some wonderful coastal hiking trails located at McCellen Park in Milbridge and at Schoodic Point in Winter Harbor, as well as spectacular mountain trails on Schoodic, Tunk, Catherine's, Black and Caribou mountains located in Sullivan and Township 10.

The three bedrooms at Aspen Cove are situated with two upstairs and one downstairs. Two of the bedrooms each have queen size beds and the third has two twin beds. The cottage has 1¾ baths, a wonderful cathedral living room with charming stone fireplace, kitchen complete with cookware, place settings and dishwasher and a waterside deck perfect for relaxing with a book or with family members.

The cottage also has a side grilling deck with gas grill and table. The cottage comes equipped with high speed Internet access, satellite TV, VCR/DVD, CD player with radio, gas grill, washer, dryer, firewood, phone, linens and has hot water baseboard heat. Aspen Cove is available for May through November rentals and guest's dogs are welcome.

Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are only 1 hour away and the city of Ellsworth's shopping conveniences are only 45 minutes away.

It's one of the most private lakefront homes our company has to offer and it provides guests a lake lodge feel with its open post and beam construction.

For the vacationer who wants to fish, canoe, kayak and explore the inland waters of the north Maine woods while staying in first class accommodations, this 4 bedroom 2 full bath house is one of the ultimate places to stay.

The village of Grand Lake Stream and it surrounding area has long been known to be a fisherman's and sightseer's paradise and of the most sought after destinations in the state. The Grand Lake Beach House sits on the crystal clear waters shore of 14,000 acre West Grand Lake, one of the state's premiere landlocked salmon water bodies and also offers high quality lake trout and smallmouth bass fisheries.

Anglers start fishing West Grand Lake in May for all three species and the good fishing continues to the end of the open-water fishing season. The Grand Lake Beach House is located just a short distance away from some of the lake's prime fishing grounds and it's also situated only 4 miles away from the world renowned landlocked salmon fishery of Grand Lake Stream.

The Grand Lake Beach House can accommodate 6 guests and features four spacious bedrooms and two full baths. The main guest room and full size bath is located on the first floor. The master bedroom with its queen size bed is located on the second floor along with a spacious full bath, another guest bedroom with a queen size bed and an open dormitory guest room with three twin beds.

The house also features a well equipped kitchen with all cookware, place settings, utensils, cupboard space, dishwasher, gas stove and refrigerator. The living room offers guests a relaxing space to put their feet up and gather with friends and loved ones in front of its fieldstone fireplace and take in the beautiful lake views. The dining area also takes in the warmth of the center fireplace and the water views while enjoying meals with family and friends.

Guests will also love the outdoor dining and grilling deck while watching the sights and sounds of the lake. There is also a cozy screened-in porch with fireplace that is a wonderful place to take in the early morning with a cup of coffee or the sunset lake views with a cracking fire in a bug-free environment.

The house also boasts a waterfront sand beach complete with a canoe, three kayaks, and picnic table. The house also comes with paddles and life jackets for all boats available. There is also a basement rec-room with ping pong table.

The Grand Lake Beach House's sandy waterfront and crystal clear waters offer vacationers great swimming and shorefront fishing opportunities, not to mention a chance to fly fish on Grand Lake Stream, one of Maine's top five landlocked salmon streams, located only 7 miles from the house.

A short drive into the village is a scenic foray into the past as you pass by small quaint guide's houses, fishing lodges and the famed clear water Grand Lake Stream. Stop by the historic Pine Tree Store and lend an ear to the fishermen's liar's bench and hear tales of the wilderness or purchase one of the store's wooden guide pack baskets or choose from the many hand tied salmon and trout flies.

You can also rent a boat and troll on West Grand Lake for lake trout and landlocked salmon. There are many small brook trout ponds dotting the area where anglers can fly, spin or worm fish to their heart's content.

Some of the best moose watching opportunities in the state are here and many helpful people or guides to help show you the way to the most frequented moose watering holes. This storied village and wilderness area are waiting for you!

The guest cottage features a bedroom with two twin beds and full bath. All linens are included with the guest cottage.

This house is centrally located to Maine’s best coastal mountain hiking trails. Of course we’re talking about the mountains of Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island located only 40 minutes away but also the little known Maine Bureau of Public Lands area located in Sullivan and Township 10, where hikers can enjoy uncrowded jaunts up the picturesque trails to the summits of Schoodic, Black, Caribou, Catherine’s and Tunk Mountains. These hikes are only 10 to 30 minutes away from the house and our guests will marvel at the summit’s 360 degree views of both wonderful freshwater lakes and gorgeous oceanscapes.

Freshwater fishing abounds in this area with its myriad of crystal clear granite based lakes and cool clear water streams. Whether guests are experienced or amateur anglers, this region has easily found fishing for eager biters of smallmouth bass, largemouth bass, brook trout, landlocked salmon, lake trout, chain pickerel and white perch.

This house rents for the beginning of May to the end of September depending on the cold weather. There is no central heating system at Acadia Beach House. The house is heated by a fireplace in the living room and a couple of electric space heaters to help take away the chill.

The rental rate covers rent + a cleaning after your stay (exit cleaning). It does not include the Maine State lodging tax or a separate refundable damage deposit. These amounts are added to the rental rate noted.

The house requires a 50% reservation deposit (half of the rent + tax total) within 14 days of making your reservation. The remainder payment (half of the rent + tax total) is due 30 days prior to arrival along with a $500.00 damage deposit.

The lake is managed for big smallmouth bass and healthy landlocked salmon. Angling guests will enjoy catching these prized smallmouths and doing battle with leaping silvery salmon. Fishermen will also enjoy catching the lake’s largemouth bass, chain pickerel and white perch. Adventurous anglers seeking eastern brook trout can also venture up the lake’s two tributaries, Penknife Stream and Mill Stream, and catch Maine’s state fish using flies or the traditional garden hackle. In these streams, the brook trout average between 6 to 10 inches in length.

The Sandpiper Cottage is also only 12 miles away from the seaside village of Eastport with its many ocean vistas, seafood restaurants and maritime excursions, such as the three masted schooner Sylvia Beal. From Eastport visitors can take the ferry to Canada’s Deer Island, and from there board a ferry to mainland Canada.

Campobello Island, also a part of Canada, is reachable either by ferry or a 40 minute drive through Lubec, Maine. On Campobello, visitors can tour the historic summer home and grounds of Franklin D. Welcome to the Nite Owl Cottage! This newly built home is nestled snugly on the shores of Kitchen Cove on West Grand Lake. Nite Owl Cottage offers 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms and can accommodate up to 6 occupants.

This beautiful new home offers elegance and simplicity all in one. When you step through the doors you will feel as if you stepped into an HGTV quality home. Windows across the front of the cottage let in beams of sunlight and helps maintain the light and airy feel of the home. You are greeted by warm and welcoming foyer and step straight through to the open concept kitchen/dining room/living room.

Your fully equipped kitchen comes ready for you to create your own culinary masterpiece. Brand new appliances and the sleek black cabinetry complement this space perfectly. There is plenty of counter space and an island where you can prep and serve your meals. And with the open concept, you are never far from the rest of the action. Stay part of the conversation while you are channeling your inner Julia Child!

The dining area and living room blend seamlessly together. And the simple, yet comfortable, décor is so inviting. The family will enjoy gathering in this area and talking over the days events or planning the next day’s activities.

Just off the living room is a screen porch/room. In the old days, this type of room was called a “dingle”. The screened porch/room offer another dining table and chairs, a small sofa and a couple of chairs. If it is a rainy evening, you can still feel like you are eating outside – only you will stay dry.

The master suite is found on the far side of the screened porch/room. The separation from the remainder of the house provides you with the extra privacy that you crave. The master suite offers a queen bed, changing room/walk in closet and an ensuite full bathroom. There is also your own “private” entrance onto the spacious front deck. The windows and the French doors help bring the outdoors in. You can lie in bed and look out at the water through the French doors or gaze at the stars at night.

The second floor of the cottage offers two comfy guest rooms for your family to dream the night away. One room provides a queen bed and the second guest bedroom provides 2 twin beds.

The owners of the Nite Owl Cottage thought of it all. There is a large deck that stretches the length of the house. Step outside and enjoy your morning coffee on the deck or any time of the day. There is also an outdoor fire pit to enjoy. Six Adirondack chairs are positioned around the fire pit and await your company. Evenings sitting around the fire, roasting marshmallows and telling stories are the best!

The village of Grand Lake Stream is a welcome get-away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Step back in time to a slower pace and a neighborly atmosphere. The natural beauty of West Grand Lake and the surrounding area will fill your senses and relax your mind. You will find it easy to unwind and let your stress and cares melt away.

West Grand Lake is known for its fishing opportunities. You can bring your boat or rent a motor boat and fish the cool, clear waters to your heart’s content. Fish for landlocked salmon, smallmouth bass, and lake trout on your own or plan a guided fishing trip with one of the many fishing guides in the area.

If ATVing is more your style, there are plenty of trails to explore in the area as well. Bring your 4 wheeler or side-by-side and hit the trails! Outdoor activities are limitless here. You may even see a moose or two in your travels.

Bring a book for the days that you decide to stay in the cottage. There is no TV and no Internet at the Nite Owl Cottage, so settle in and dive into that romance novel that you have been aching to read.

The community of Grand Lake Stream wants you to feel at home while you visit. Enjoy the weekly “community cook-outs” which are open to anyone in the area. They are “pot luck” style, so plan to bring a dish to share and know that there are always the obligatory hot dogs on the grill served! Just ask at the Pine Tree Store in the village of Grand Lake Stream to find out location, day and time.

Amenities at the Nite Owl Cottage include pots & pans, dishes, kitchen utensils, glasses, coffee maker, stove (gas), microwave, refrigerator, toaster, tea kettle, sheets, blankets, pillows, bath towels, clothes washer & dryer, gas log fireplace, beach towels, 2 kayaks, outdoor fire pit and Adirondack chairs. There is a land line telephone at the house because cell phone coverage is very spotty in the area.

Well behaved, house broken, adults dogs are allowed at the rental property. There is a limit of 2 dogs per rental. Sorry no puppies and no cats.

A separate pet deposit/fee of $75/dog will be assessed in addition to the rental rate.

The Nite Owl Cottage is a non-smoking facility. Smoking is prohibited in the house and on the property.

Fireworks are not allowed on the rental property.

The cottage is 3 hours northeast of Bangor and 6 1/2 hours from Portland. It is also 7 1/2 hours from Boston and 12 hours from New York City. It’s also 1 1/2 hours from Machias and 3 ½ hours from Bar Harbor.

Rentals run on a Saturday to Saturday basis.
A 50% reservation deposit/down payment is required at reservation and the balance due 30 days prior to arrival.
A $500.00 refundable security deposit is required along with the balance payment for damage/excessive cleaning costs.
Check-in time is any time after 3:00 PM on your arrival date and check-out time is no later than 10:00 AM the following Saturday.

Located on scenic Seal Cove on beautiful Mount Desert Island, the cottage has breathtaking views of the cove and coastal islands in Blue Hill Bay and is approximately 20 minutes from the picturesque town of Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park.

Guests of the Sunset Point Cottage are in for a treat. The quaint lodging is nestled in the trees along the shores of Seal Cove which allows for shade, privacy and wonderful views. The classic covered front porch is just steps from the water and affords guests with breathtaking views of the water and the boats in the harbor. As its name suggests, the cottage faces west and enjoys a sunset view.

When you step through the door of the Sunset Point Cottage, you are greeted by the sweet, country kitchen. The classic wood design is warm and inviting and offers all of the basic needs. The new kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, dinnerware and cookware.

The centerpiece of the cottage is the field stone fireplace in the living room. Picture yourself cozied up in front of a fire, reading a book, sharing a glass of wine or sharing stories about your day. This spot will transport you back in time to a quieter, more serene time. It is easy to see why this room be one of your favorite spots in the cottage.

A set of French doors take you from the living room out onto the covered front porch that overlooks the cove. It’s a perfect place for morning coffee, afternoon tea or an evening cocktail. You can watch the lobster boats come and go, and marvel at the ever-changing scenery and wildlife. We feel certain that you will adore this location.

Sunset Point Cottage offers 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom provides a double bed and an attached bathroom with toilet, shower and sink. There are also 2 guest bedrooms in the cottage. Each guest bedroom provides 2 twin beds, so the cottage can accommodate 6 people nicely. There is a "bed bridge" that has been used to turn 2 of the twin beds into a king bed. A second full bathroom is shared by these guest bedrooms.

The outdoor space at Sunset Point Cottage is just as quaint as the house itself. An outdoor fire pit and chairs are found on the side lawn area. It’s the perfect spot to spend your evening around the fire telling stories and making memories. In addition, there is a path to the shoreline so you can access the water or launch your kayak.

If the morning sun is what you crave, then the Morning Glory House is exactly what you are searching for. Nestled in the pines of Maine, this house is found in the Duck Cove area of Roque Bluffs.

Located just outside of the small town of Machias, the Morning Glory House sits right on the waters of Little Kennebec Bay. It has its own set of stairs that lead to the shore below. Enjoy time reading on the beach, walking the shoreline and looking for sea glass or watching the lobster boats haul their daily catch.

Feel your worries ease when you enter the Morning Glory House and set down roots for the week. The first floor of the house features the living room, dining room, kitchen, sun porch, one full bathroom and two guest bedrooms. The master bedroom, another guest bedroom and a second full bathroom are located on the second floor.

This house is located on scenic Holmes Bay with wide open views of the water. You will find yourself gazing out the windows of this home because the Sea Chimes boasts water views from almost every room in the house.

If open views to the water are the Maine experience that you are searching for, then this is your property. As soon as you drive into the property you are struck by the beauty of the Downeast coast.

The front lawn of the house is a rolling field with places to sit and enjoy the views. The house offers an outdoor fire pit as a wonderful evening gathering place. Spend time telling stories around the fire or sit and enjoy gazing at the stars. If sitting on the deck is more your style, the Sea Chimes offers this as well. Pass the time reading your favorite book or watching wildlife, boats and the harvest of clams on the bay.

The Sea Chimes House can accommodate 6-8 people comfortably on three separate floors. The master bedroom with king bed and private bathroom is located on the second floor. The ¾ wall allows for views of the water from two sides of the house. Lounge in bed and take in the water views from daybreak to sundown.

Two guest rooms (1 with queen bed and the other with 2 twin beds) are found on the main floor along with the kitchen, living room, dining area and another full bathroom. The walk-out basement level provides a family room, overflow sleeping with 2 additional twin beds, full bathroom and laundry facilities. The house also includes high speed Internet, DVD player, washer, dryer, cooking utensils, lobster pot and outdoor gas grill.

The kitchen, dining area and living room are an open design and flow easily from one space to the next. Explore the Bold Coast trails, Western Head trail or Boot Head Preserve which are just a short drive from the property. These trails are nothing short of spectacular and are a “must visit”.

The Sea Chimes House is located only 10 minutes away from beautiful Cutler harbor where visitors can buy fresh lobsters or board the Barbara Frost for a trip out to Machias Seal Island where the Atlantic Puffins gather.

Guests can also visit scenic Lubec where West Quoddy Head lighthouse is located and its wonderful coastal hiking trail. Just across the bridge from Lubec is Canada's Campobello Island with its terrific golf course, quiet fishing hamlets, and towering East Quoddy Head light house where whales are often seen spouting in the distance.

Both Lubec and Campobello Island are only 30 minutes from Sea Chimes. Also, New Brunswick, Canada is only 1 hour and 15 minutes away and Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are just 2 hours from the house. Both destinations are easy day trips from the property.

Located on Ray's Point in Milbridge, Maine, the Black Duck Haven is a log style dwelling with wonderful views of Back Bay and Pinkham's Island.

Observations from this cottage offer visitors a unique perspective of the ever changing inter-tidal area. Eagles, ospreys, sea and puddle ducks, as well as many different shorebirds frequent the shore as the tide ebbs and flows, an unfolding of the wonderful day to day routine of nature's inhabitants.

Family and friends enjoy walking the diverse seashore along Ray's Point for a beach combing experience that is coastal Maine. Guests here also have the opportunity to harvest soft shell clams in front of the cottage for a great clam bake meal the whole family will love. Renters also enjoy the warm, cozy feel of the open cathedral great room and a crackling fire in the fieldstone fireplace.

This cottage is situated close to a number of pristine lakes and ponds with remote beaches which are great for fishing, swimming, canoeing and kayaking. These waters include Tunk Lake, Spring River Lake and Long Pond. If you're really adventurous and love to fish, we suggest hiking into the hills that surround these lakes and fishing for brook trout in Rainbow and Tilden Ponds. Mountain hikes, such the trails up Schoodic, Black and Caribou Mountains, are also located close by and give visitors terrific panoramic views of the ocean and surrounding lakes.

Black Duck Haven has an inviting country charm with its glossy log interior, cathedral living room and fieldstone fireplace. It boasts four bedrooms with 1 king, 1 queen and 2 double beds, two and a half baths, open kitchen, living room, dining area, elevated front porch, screened-in terrace and back grilling deck. The cottage also includes washer, dryer, high speed Internet, satellite TV, VCR, phone, linens, gas grill, firewood, outdoor shower, ping pong table, and outdoor basketball pad.



Rental fees: For the 2021 season, the rate listed for the main house covers up to 8 occupants. The house is limited to 8 occupants in total (adults and children included).

A separate guest cottage with one bedroom, living room with sleeper sofa and one bathroom is also available to accommodate larger groups. The guest cottage is available for an additional fee of $600 (plus tax). It must be rented in conjunction with the main house and is not a stand alone rental.

The Black Duck Haven is 10 minutes from in town Milbridge, and 45 minutes from the coastal town of Machias. It is 50 minutes from Acadia National Park and Bar Harbor, 1 hour 45 minutes from the city of Calais and the Canadian border, and only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Bangor International Airport.

Little Piece of Heaven Cottage (1044)

The Little Piece of Heaven Cottage allows renters to enjoy all of the above activities and more. The main cottage boasts two bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, full kitchen, dining area/living room, outdoor shower with hot & cold running water, and spacious waterside deck. The main house can sleep 4-5 people comfortably in 1 queen bed and a bunk bed with twin trundle bed. For additional guests or that perfect spot for teenagers, there is also a bunk house with 4 twin beds (bunk style) and a half bath.

The spacious waterside deck offers the perfect outdoor entertainment area. Enjoy a cold drink and hors d'oeuvres while you cook dinner on the grill. Or sit outside and watch the sun go down while you tell stories and recount the day's events.

If sitting by the fire pit and roasting marshmallows is what you desire, the Little Piece of Heaven Cottage has this covered too. There is a fire pit right next to the waters edge for you to enjoy. Roast marshmallows and make s'mores as the evening winds down. There's nothing better than stories by the fire.

Just when you think you've heard it all, there's even more. In addition to the wonderful deck, fire pit and bunk house, there is also a screened gazebo. Relax in the shad and comfort of a screened area and enjoy the breeze coming off the water.

Fishermen can quickly pictures themselves here on Green Lake. Get ready to dip a line in the water for smallmouth bass, lake trout, landlocked salmon, chain pickerel, and white perch. And for the kids, there are loads of sunfish to catch right off the dock. At the end of the day, you can tie your boat to the dock and join the family around the fire pit to tell some fish stories!

Don't forget to put a day trip or two on to Acadia National Park on your list. The cottage is a short drive to this national treasure. Hiking, biking, shopping, whale watching, deep sea fishing, kayak tours and seaside restaurants await you in the Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor region. If you can actually tear yourself away from the calm and relaxation of the Little Piece of Heaven Cottage, then you can check Acadia off your bucket list.

The Schooner Point House is a beautifully constructed 4 bedroom ocean front home situated on Schooner Point overlooking Dyer Bay in Steuben, Maine.

This house accommodates 10 guests and is spacious and elegant in design. Located in a lightly developed area of the Maine coast, this house boasts quiet and privacy. Its shoreline is rocky and tranquil, and its bay frontage sees the occasional lobster boat hauling pots for their daily catch.

Dyer Bay is a scenic deep water hamlet with wonderful seascapes that is a must see. A woodland path directs guests to this house’s picturesque shorefront.

The interior of the Schooner Point House is wonderfully designed, as each room flows effortlessly into the next. The centerpiece of this house is its great-room, which features living and dining areas that open conveniently into a spacious kitchen and also on to a large waterside deck. A fireplace adorns the living room and is the focal point of this comfortable family gathering place.

Guests will also enjoy the ability to step from the great-room outside to tend their surf and turf grilling on the deck, and to breathe in the fresh salt air. The well appointed kitchen has plenty of counter space and comes complete with all cook-ware, lobster pot, microwave, dishwasher, and breakfast bar.

For the creative cook, try pairing some local lobsters or scallops with rib eye steaks from Ray's Meats and some fresh organic vegetables from Dyer Bay Farms, both of which are just up the road. If you need something that is not in season, there is a very well stocked grocery store five miles away that also includes a gourmet section.

To accompany your meal, try some award winning fruit wines or spirits from Bartlett Maine Estates Winery which is just a short drive away in Gouldsboro. When you don't feel like cooking for yourself, enjoy a special night out at Aerie Restaurant at Eagle Hill, only a half mile away and treat yourself to some French-American fusion cuisine.

This house is dog friendly allows vacationers to bring their beloved family dogs. There is a limit of 2 adults, well behaved dogs per rental. Sorry, no puppies are permitted.

The house is only 40 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park, both located on Mount Desert Island, and within 20 to 30 minutes from the spectacular mountain hiking trails at Tunk, Schoodic, Black and Caribou Mountains. When vacationing here guests are also only 30 minutes from the rugged ocean coast hiking and picnicking at Acadia's Schoodic Peninsula in Winter Harbor and 20 minutes from the Acadia Zoo, Water Slides, Movie Theater and shopping in Trenton and Ellsworth.

The Calling Loon also is located close to ITS ATV trails which feature miles of scenic countryside to view and enjoy the wilderness areas.

The house is 45 minutes east of Bangor and the Bangor International Airport. Four hours northeast of Portland, 5½ hours from Boston and 10½ hours from New York City. The house is also 40 minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The house is 2 hours from Eastport and l½ hours from Lubec and Campobello Island.
