This newly constructed house sits on Chambers Point – a quiet and tranquil community located in Roque Bluffs. Down East Providence House is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath home nestled on shores of Tenney Cove. You will find yourself relaxing as soon as you step through the front door. This ocean view property is perched in such a way that you have wonderful views of Tenney Cove and beyond. The Down East Providence House has access to the rocky shoreline through the common lot located right next door. Take your morning cup of coffee down to the rocks and revel in the sunrise, launch a kayak and paddle the shoreline or find that perfect spot to unleash your inner artist. There is something for everyone.

The main level of the house boasts an open concept kitchen, dining area and living room. Designed for both charm and comfort, the feel of the room envelopes you with warmth and promotes family togetherness. Intimate family dinners or easy entertaining can both be accomplished in this fabulous space.

Also located on the main level is the master bedroom and attached master bath. This sunny yet relaxing room offers its guests a home away from home experience with a king sized bed, fireplace and a private entrance onto the deck. The attached master bath boasts a soaking tub, walk-in shower, stylish vanity, dressing area, and separate powder room.

The second floor is a fabulous hang-out spot for the children. There is a family room with a TV to watch their favorite movie and space to play cards or a board game. Just off the family room is a small balcony where you can relax and breathe in the salty ocean air.

Three guest bedrooms and a bathroom are also located on the second floor. Each bedroom is light and airy and is furnished with a twin daybed and twin trundle bed. There is one bed bridge available to renters to transform one daybed + trundle bed into a king bed. The bright and spacious bathroom offers a toilet, sink and large tub.

The lower level/basement of the house provides another hang out spot for anyone wanting to play ping pong or pool. Challenge your fellow guests to a friendly ping pong or pool tournament and see who comes out on top. There is also a full bathroom with shower stall, toilet and sink located on this level.

Amenities at the Down East Providence House include new stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, toaster oven, washer, dryer, satellite TV, gas log fireplace in the living room and master bedroom, linens, blankets, bath towels, place settings, pots and pans, outdoor grill, ping pong table, pool table, and fire pit.

The house rents on a Saturday to Saturday basis from May through October. A down payment of 50% of the rent + state tax total is required within 14 days of making your reservation. The balance of your rent (2nd half of the rent + state tax total) and a separate refundable damage deposit are due 30 days prior to arrival.

A separate refundable damage deposit of $500 is required on all rentals. Each rental is also subject to the 9% state lodging tax and a separate refundable damage deposit.

The Down East Providence House does allow well behaved, adult dogs (limit of 2) with permission. Sorry, no puppies and no cats allowed. There is a pet fee of $100/dog charged.


Smoking and fireworks are not permitted.

The house is approximately 5 minutes from Roque Bluffs State Park Beach, 15 minutes from Machias, 1 1/2 hours from Ellsworth, 1 1/2 hours from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park and 2 hours from Bangor International Airport.

The house is also 1 hour from Lubec, Eastport, Campobello Island, Calais and St. Stephen Canada.

Portland is 4 hours away, Boston is a 6 hour drive and New York City is 10 hours away.
