We invite you to experience Seal's Ledge. This one bedroom, one-bathroom cottage is situated on a peaceful, serene peninsula on the edge of Back Bay in Milbridge. Guests of Seal’s Ledge are treated with 360-degree breathtaking water views. Take in the fresh sea air and balsam pines as you enjoy sunrises and sunsets over the bay in front of the fire pit.
The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a wonderful, romantic get-away. This cozy cottage comes “ready to go” with all the comforts of home. Amenities include 1 queen bed, full bathroom with shower, washer, dryer, Internet access, TV with Firestick, stove, refrigerator, well equipped kitchen, outdoor fire pit, and much more.
Seal’s Ledge sits just a few steps from the shore. You can enjoy sweeping views of the water, sunrise and sunset from inside the house or outside on the porch or patio. Take your morning coffee outside and relax in the patio chairs while you watch the sun rise or enjoy an evening glass of wine while the sun goes down. There’s always something new and wonderful to see and experience.
There is a set of stairs that takes you from the front of the property to the water. Back Bay is a tidal frontage which is great for exploring in your kayaks. Put your kayak in around the high tide and paddle the shoreline. There’s no better way to experience Maine’s rocky coast.
Both nature enthusiasts and foodies will find something to peak their interest. Water fowl is abundant here, including sea loons, gulls, and herons. You may also experience eagles, hare, deer and an occasional seal. For visitors looking to sample the local fare, options are definitely close at hand. You can visit the multiple lobster wharfs, 7 to 30 minutes away for the freshest local lobster and fish. Bring home “fresh off the boat” lobster to cook and enjoy as you gaze out at the water.
There is an abundance of hiking trails to explore locally, including McClellan Park and Petit Manan Wildlife Refuge. Don’t forget to venture to Winter Harbor and experience the “quieter side” of Acadia National Park at Schoodic Peninsula. You can make a day of it and hike the shore trails, go beach combing for shells and rocks, and drive a scenic coastal route through Corea and Birch Harbor. Stop at the Pickled Wrinkle for a bite to eat!

This well-known attraction draws thousands of visitors each year and offers guests everything from shopping, fine dining, kayaking, whale watching, rental bikes, scenic tours, and more hiking than you could experience in a week. Or head north up Route 1 to the Cutler, Lubec, and Eastport areas. Loads of hikes await you there as well as quaint fishing villages to enjoy. While in Lubec, you can visit the West Quoddy Head Lighthouse known for its candy cane striping and rocky shores. Experience the “first light” of day at the spot known as the easternmost point of the contiguous 48 states.
