The property is situated on a corner lot in a quiet neighborhood on the island and has a westerly view to the harbor and Moosabec Reach. There is a large lawn for the kids to play and enjoy. Across the street is a working fishing/lobster wharf. Watch the boats come in and drop off their daily catch!
When you enter the house, you feel right at home in the cozy foyer. Slip off your shoes and leave your cares, because this house is set up for your relaxation. The quaint kitchen is your next stop. Many of the original classic features remain, but the owners have also added modern updates. Let your inner chef take over and feel right at home here.
The remainder of the main level includes a sunny and cheery living room, dining room with a bay window, and a full bathroom with a shower, sink and toilet. Beautiful, patterned wood floors grace the entire main level of the house. There is nothing like the charm of these classic wood floors.
The second level is where you will find 3 bedrooms and another bathroom. Marietta’s Legacy can accommodate 5 guests comfortably. The main bedroom has a queen sized, Sleep Number bed. Relax in bed and enjoy the views of the working waterfront. In addition to the main bedroom, there are two guest bedrooms. One offers a queen bed and the other provides an extra-long twin bed. Bed linens, blankets, pillows and bath towels are included in the rental.

Tourists adore the Bar Harbor area for its natural beauty, hiking, shops, restaurants, golf courses, boat tours and activities galore. One day is generally not enough to take it all in. You may need to plan a couple of day trips to see all that you want to see.
If you yearn for a quieter way of life, travel north on Route 1 to Lubec and Eastport. These coastal communities are ready to welcome all visitors. The advertised rental rate covers the weekly rent + a cleaning after your stay. The Maine State Lodging tax (9%) and a separate, refundable damage deposit ($500.00) are charged in addition to the rental rate.
A down payment of 50% of the rent + state tax total is due within 14 days of making your reservation. The rental balance (50% of the rent + state tax total) and the separate. Refundable damage deposit ($500.00) are due 30 days before arrival.
Marietta’s Legacy does not allow pets of any kind. Smoking and fireworks are not permitted at this property.
